My Grand Arrival on 14.12.2005 (Wed)

Today is the BIG day for ME!

Because of my breech position, Mommy has no choice but to opt for early c-sect on 14.12.2005 after much perusasion from Dr FY, despite her pleading with him to wait till 20/21 Dec as it will be Daddy & Mommy's 2nd wedding anniversary.

Mommy has to wake up at 0430 hours on 14.12.2005 to order Big Breakfast from McDonald as she will need to start fasting from 0600 hours onwards. After eating, Mommy went back to sleep till around 0730 hours to take her 'shiok shiok' shampoo & bath (cos she cant bath for 12 days after delivery - quoted by Por Por).

Tekka Por Por accompanied Daddy & Mommy to Mt Alvernia Hospital to await my grand arrival.. haha... All paperwork, personal queries, weight taking, blood pressue checking and listening of my super fast heartbeat were done at St Raphael's Ward (2 bedded ward) and the Staff Nurse told Mommy to take a rest before the operation. But I can sense that Mommy is very worried about the operation and also her anxiety to see how handsome/ugly I am..

Finally the time came when the nurses and OT staff came to wheel Mommy to the OT and Daddy went along too cos he wants to witness my arrival. Daddy went to change into OT attire while Mommy was waiting on the cold cold OT table wondering how the procedure will be like.

Initially Mommy wanted to deliver me via c-sect with epidural but the naughty anaesthetician commented that it is better to deliver via c-sect with GA cos of Mommy's size.. And my Daddy did not get the chance to witness my arrival cos he is not allowed inside the OT for c-sect with GA. But he did hear my 1st cry and I bet he must be very happy & touched to hear it..

After much anticipation, I am finally born to my lovely parents on 14.12.2005 (Wed) at Mt Alvernia Hospital thru the skilful hands of Dr FY and his team.

After the nurses have cleaned the dirty me, they wheeled me back to the Nursery Room where Daddy & Tekka Por Por are waiting for me. Daddy snapped a picture of me spotting a smart side hair parting and showed it to Mommy. She commented that I resembled closely like my late Tekka Gong Gong which Tekka Por Por totally agrees too. Mommy was crying in pain when she was being wheeled back to her ward and Por Por reassured Mommy that everything is alright and I m a perfectly healthy baby. And dearest Por Por spoke in Khek to Mommy saying that it has been a tough job for Mommy and Por Por say 'thank you' to Mommy for giving birth to me.

To reward Mommy, Daddy went to upgrade her to stay in 1-bedded room at Our Lady's Ward and he accompanied Mommy till we discharged on 17.12.2005 (Sat).
