Mommy's Pregnancy Days

A few days after her pregnancy is confirmed, she got a shock when she saw red spotting.. Quickly they called up Dr FY, and poor mommy was ordered to take hormone jabs every 2 days and daily oral dose of progesterone pills to support the pregnancy cos her womb size is bigger than norm. This procedures follows thru her 1st trimester till week 14.

Instead of MS, Mommy experienced ES (evening sickness).. whatever she eat for dinner, I'll reject and make her vomit out and thank God for the invention of Glucose cos Mommy survived her 1st trimester with Glucose.. And I still can remembered Mommy cant stand the smell of braised soya sauce that comes from the hawker centre and also the taste of Darlie's toothpaste..

I loved being inside Mommy's tummy especially at 2nd trimester which a lot of mommies says it is the 'honeymoon' period for pregnancy.. cos both Daddy & Mommy brought me to Taka's BB Fair, Kiddy Palace and Kids Mall to see a lot of bb stuff, and the bi-weekly visits to Dr FY's clinic to monitor my growth and a lot of places which seems so interesting to me..

I must admit I'm a naughty boy.. U may ask why? During their visits to Dr FY's clinic for ultrasound scans, I will always greet Daddy & Mommy & Dr FY with my buttocks even though Daddy & Mommy beforehand already told me to co-operate.. Sorry Daddy & Mommy, I didn't mean to be naughty..

They have to keep guessing my gender and pray that the next visit they can see my gender.. What a guessing game to play!! But Gong Gong and Tekka Por Por kept saying that I will be a boy with their own theories... Gong Gong says I m a boy bcos he believes when a boy grown up he will marry in a wife, so that's explain why I face Daddy & Mommy with my buttock... As for Tekka Por Por, her theory is Tai Gu has got 2 boys and Yi Gu has got 3 girls, so I will be a boy to bring to a match of 3 boys 3 girls.. So whose theory would U believe??

My poor Mommy did the Triple Blood Test at Week 16 and result shown that I may have Down Syndrome (DS).. She was so upset that she kept crying and praying to God for directions/guidance.. After much persuasion from Dr FY, Mommy decided to take the amnio test at Week 19 to further confirm if I'm really a DS baby.. Thank God, it was just a false alarm..

And it was during the amnio test that my dear parents knew my gender and they started to do their shopping with loads of blues in mind.. At the detailed scan on Week 22 in TMC, the preggie radiologist with a soon-to-due bb gal administered the detailed scan.. Guess wat happen, my 'little bro' was so obvious during the detailed scan and my parents together with the radiologist were joking that I must have known that there is a pretty gal somewhere, so I want to show off my little man's power..

The last test that my poor Mommy done was Glucose Tolerance Test at Week 27 cos Dr FY suspects she might have gestational diabetes. She was made to fast the night before, and the next morning she had to take blood and urine tests every 1 hour for 3 times and was made to drink a super sweet lemon barley taste-alike drink.. I nearly puke after the drink reaches me.. Thank God I co-operated with Mommy and did not make her vomit.. Again, another false alarm but another hole burnt in my parent's pockets..

Phew! Mommy has reaches the final trimester of her pregnancy and she is getting more clumpsy and sleepier than before.. And the naughty me loves kicking her when she slept on the wrong side, making me uncomfortable.. I prefer her to sleep on her right side so that I can do somersault stunts.. And I always wake her up around 3am, 430am till Daddy has to issue me with 'final warning' then I will stop my nonsense.. Sorry mommy for my misbehave and the many MCs you've taken.

Maybe I have enjoyed too much inside Mommy's tummy that I've forgotten to engage myself to get ready for birth.. And poor Mommy under the 'stress' by Dr FY that she has to deliver me via c-sect cos me still in breech position at Week 38...

Finally I am delivered to this beautiful world on the afternoon of 14.12.2005 (Wed) at Mt Alvernia Hospital by Dr FY.

Daddy & Mommy, I love you both dearly.
