The Days after Kakak Ning left us

After Kakak Ning left us on 27 Nov 06, there are some adjustment we need to make to cope with 'maid-less' days till Mommy get another new Kakak for me...

#1 adjustments: Moving over to sleep with Daddy & Mommy
Just two days before Kakak Ning left, I have moved over to sleep with Daddy & Mommy on their shiok shiok King Koil's king sized bed. And I really very blessed to occupy almost 1/2 of this big bed while poor Daddy & Mommy have to sleep to extreme left & right corner (taking the risk to break their brittle bones.. haha..), to give me space to toss n turn freely.

For the 1st 2 weeks, I knew that Daddy & Mommy sacrificed a lot of their precious beauty sleep to attend to me.. like patting me whenever I make some minute noise, making milk for me in the wee hours, change my soiled diapers or to carry me on their shoulders..

And me being a co-operative baby, my parents soon got used to my pattern and they are now enjoying their beauty sleep together with me.

Tell all of you a secret! I finally managed to sleep thru the night once I have moved over to bunk in with my parents.. And my best record was from 7pm till next morning 7am..

#2 adjustment: Mommy does the chores!
Now mommy has become the 'temporary' new maid.. She has to wash my clothes, wash & sterilize my milk bottles, clean my butts whenever I 'poo poo', prepare & feed my 3 meals and milk, bath for me and pat me to sleep. And also to do the normal household chores..

#3 adjustment: New caregivers!
Por Por & Kakak Rose have taken over Kakak Ning's to be my caregivers for the daytime when Daddy & Mommy are at work. And Kakak Rose has to travel from Oxford Road to our house every Mon-Fri and reach around 730am to take care of me while Daddy & Mommy enjoys another 1 hour of sleep before getting up for work.

Por Por will come over around 930am to help Kakak Rose to 'jagar' (in bahasa it means watching) me - 1 of her 6 'tun tun' (in dialect khek it means grand-child) and to play with me too..

Por Por is also my watch keeper. She will keep a tab on my feeding & napping schedule and liaise with Daddy when they take over the night shift..

I want to take this good opportunity to say a BIG thank you to Por Por, Kakak Rose, Daddy & Mommy for sacrificing so much for me during these 2 months and for taking good care of me despite me being naughty & cheeky at times.. I LOVE all of you dearly....

Latest update: I have 4 upper teeth now!

Good news!! I have finally got 4 upper teeth now.. Everyone are so happy that I have graduated from the 'bo gey' club... but this naughty 4th tooth gave me diarrohea problem which my parents have brought me to consult Dr Lee @ Kinder Clinic this AM.. BTW, my latest weight is 9.855kg as compared to 9.13kg in Nov 06.

Today is my 1st Birthday

Today I am so happy cos I am officially ONE year old!

And my Daddy & Mommy are on leave to bring me go 'jalan-jalan' in celebration of me turing ONE! Wow.. turning ONE really got privilege..

After my early lunch, we head down to Suntec City for eat, shop & walk day. We went to Toyr'us and I got to choose a birthday gift for myself. Guess what I chose?? It is a small car from Chicco which I like it very very much.

We went on to Carrefour to buy some ready-food for dinner tonight. And Mommy collected my birthday cake - Mango Delight from Prima Deli.

Daddy & Mommy, thank you very much for spending my 1st birthday together with me. And of cos, many more good years to celebrate together!!

My 1st Birthday Bash

Hurray finally it is my turn to be 1 year old!

As my actual birthday falls on a weekday, so my parents decided to have my 1st Birthday Bash on 09 Dec 2006.

I want to say a big thank you to Mommy. Despite being busy with her work, taking care of me and household chore after Kakak Ning left us, she has put in a great deal of efforts in making my 1st Birthday Bash a memorable one.

Mommy has ordered my lovely 1st birthday cake from Pine Garden. She catered the food from Mei Hao 99 Catering and it received good comments from most of our guests (thanks a lot to Aunty Kelly's recommendation). And also the outstanding balloon bouquets from Twinkle Balloon (even though Mommy is super scare of balloon)!

Oh, nearly forget to mention that the birthday decor & goodies bags with loots are from Concourse and of cos must also say a big thank you to God-ma Jo for accompanying Mommy for the last minute shopping at Concourse on the day before the bash.

Also Mommy has brought two (2) handsome tops from Osh Kosh & Hush Puppies for me to wear on my birthday bash.

During my birthday bash, I am so happy to see so many of my friends - Avos kor-kor, Kylie jie-jie, Kaelyn mei-mei, Sheris mei-mei, Shermaine mei-mei, Javier di-di and not forgetting my cousins XinYi jie-jie, Kieran kor kor and his brother, JieYi jie-jie, Maria, Jill & Christie jie-jies.

It is a fun yet tiring day for me the Birthday Boy. So when come to cake cutting session, I threw a little tantrum and Uncle Leslie could not snap a nice family photo for us.

The Day when Kakak Ning left us to return to Malang, Indonesia

Today is a sad day as my Kakak Ning is going home to visit her Mother who has got a stroke on last Wed and to see her daughter! She has been with us for exactly 11 months on the day of her departure.. really feel very sad to see her leaving us and not able to take care of me anymore.

My parents, myself, Kakak Ning and Kakak Rose all went to Changi Airport Terminal 1 to send off Kakak Ning. We had Popeye's chicken for lunch and I got to eat a bit of the mashed potato and some chicken meat which Kakak Ning last fed me before she leave.

After lunch, we proceeded to the Departure Hall to send off Kakak Ning. Suddenly I can see Mommy and Kakak Rose hugging and crying with Kakak Ning and I also feel like crying too. As Kakak Ning was doing the Immigration clearance inside the Departure Hall, I kept knocking on the glass panel to attract her attention but dont know why she never comes out from the Departure Hall to carry me. And Mommy was telling me that Kakak Ning is going to Sheng Siong wont be coming back home with us so fast.

Bon voyage my dear Kakak Ning.. and thank you for taking very good care of me for the past 11 months... May God bless your Mother a speedy recovery!

I fell !!!

After having a day out at my grandparent's place at AMK, and following my parents and kakak to shop at Carrefour Suntec, I was so so tired when we reached home on last Sat.

So kakak put me to sleep at my parent's bed with my parents sleeping on both sides to prevent me from falling..

As my water is finishing so Mommy get up from her side, wanting to refill my water and she replaced by pillows on her side, left Daddy and me sleeping on the bed. Shortly after Mommy switched on the TV and view the 4D result for Sat.. and she shouted for Daddy to come and see the result. And my careless Daddy left his side w/o forming the pillow wall.

Before I can even realised what is happening, I was already lying on the marble flooring and let out a loud and long cries. Quickly the 3 'culprits' rushed into the room and kakak quickly carried me up from the floor.. And my parents keep pacifying me and check for any bruised or injured areas.

Both my parents quickly informed Por Por and my grandparents and both got good scoldings from the elderly folks.

Thank God for sending his Guardian angels over me and protected me from this fall!

Food Tasting at Shang Palace

Today everyone of us went to Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore to have a food tasting before we confirm the 70th birthday bash dinner for Por Por.

Mommy let me tried the Longevity Bun which was the 1st dish to be served and it was yummy.. The bun skin was so soft and the lotus bean paste was just right taste for me - not too sweet.. Since I am still a baby, I did not get to taste the rest of the 8 dishes which looks super yummy and delicious..

I shall tempt all of you here with the proposed dinner menu for Por Por's birthday dinenr: -

3. Braised Shark’s Fin with Crabmeat

After lunch, we went to do a site inspection at Waterfall Terrace and The Pavillion. Almost majority voted for Waterfall Terrace to be the venue for Por Por's birthday dinner cos there is a waterfall scenary just next to the function room.. And it is nearer for the elderly folks to walk from main lobby.

All of us went to The Perfect Wedding discussion room and Por Por personally selected the tableware, crockery and seat covers for the event.

Everything is all set! So we shall wait for 27 Jan 2007 (Sat) to arrive soon then Mommy will buy me new clothes to wear for Por Por's 70th birthday bash!!

Post 1st Birthday Celebration for Samuel kor kor at Tony Roma's Suntec

Today Mommy brought myself and Kakak to Tony Roma's at Suntec to post celebrate Samuel's kor kor 1st birthday, as all of us did not attend his 1st birthday party on 30 Sept 2006.

I am so happy that I can see my little friends like Sheris, Shermaine, Kaelyn and Samuel, not forgetting Aunty Doris' little princess who is staying comfortably inside her tummy. And also Godma, Aunty Dor, Aunty Val & Uncle Rayant, Aunty Penny & Uncle Raymond, Aunty Kelly & Uncle Joseph, Aunty Jessica & Uncle Leslie and Aunty Amy & Kaelyn's Daddy.... What a big gathering today!

Mommy let me tried a little bit of Tony Roma's famous ribs, chicken breast meat and also the bread that Mommy secretly smuggled into the restaurant..

Samuel kor kor gets to blow an extraordinary birthday dessert tonight - Apple Crisp a la Mode
which is a yummy blend of apples, cinnamon and sugar. Baked to a golden perfection with a granola topping. Topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel topping. All of us enjoyed it very very much..

Mommy, when will be my turn to blow my own birthday cake? Hope I dont have to wait for too long.. haha...

My 1st Piglet Mooncake

This cute little piglet mooncake was bought by Por Por AMK. So thoughtful of Por Por to buy and let me taste it.

Mommy cut the piglet for me to eat today in celebration of upcoming Mooncake Festival on 06 October 2006.

Though the pastry is a bit rocky hard, I quite like the lotus bean paste filling inside.. It is not very sweet and suitable for my taste buds.

Form Fitter from Yee Gu

This is my latest toy from Yee Gu.. My parents and Kakak are trying hard to show me how to put the different shapes into the fitter. However, I am more amused by their 'taste' and decide to put them into my mouth for a bite.. Oops.. they are too hard for my young gums..

My 1st Lantern

My Por Por (AMK) has bought me a cute dino lantern for my 1st mooncake festival.. and this cute dino will move around and drummed to the music beat.. Thank you soooo much my dear Por Por...

P.S:
Latest update, after Mommy has snapped photos of my cute dino, I accidentally dropped it onto the floor... and now my dino is 'disabled' liao..

But I overheard Mommy's teleconv with Por Por that I'll have a brand new lantern again.. Hurray!!

Fireworks Display for IMF Delegates (caught on video)

Mommy, Kakak and myself have managed to catch a glimpse of the grand fireworks display for the IMF Delegates as per my earlier post.

Fireworks Display for IMF/World Bank Delegates

My 'ya-ya' parents always proudly tell their friends that our house is the most ideal place to watch fireworks display from Marina Bay area.

Today there is a session of fireworks display for IMF/World Bank Delegates to watch at Marina Bay.. My mommy did not get 'pre-alert' of this event from her kakis., so when we heard the 'boom boom' sounds from my parent's room, Mommy thought it is going to rain.. Kakak Ning quickly run out to check if it is raining.. Guess what, it is not raining but fireworks display..

Mommy quickly grabbed her camera and we all dashed out to our living hall, slide open our windows to catch the fireworks display from Marina Bay..

Wow... Wow... Wow... I can hear Mommy & Kakak Ning keeps uttering this word throughout the display.. and they say tonight's display is more beautiful than those Singapore Fireworks Festival during National Day 2006..

Advance Celebration of Gong Gong's Birthday

My dearest Gong Gong will be turning 73 years old on 19.09.2006.

We had an early celebration for Gong Gong's birthday on today 09.09.2006 at AMK. Again it is Mommy's task to buy food & cake... I will take over this task when I am much grown up..

This time, Mommy placed order with Hong Kong Street "Zhen Ji" at Blk 151 AMK Ave 5. She has ordered prawn rolls, prawn paste chicken wings, seafood tofu and cereals prawns... All these foods sounds so yummy & delicious.. Tell you hor, when Mommy collected the 'ta-pao' and came back to the taxi, wow.. it smells heavenly... haha

And AMK Por Por has fried a wok of 'yee mee' with lots of ingredients.. another yummy dish..

As usual, I cant get to taste more of the dishes, but Mommy dearest gave me 2 pieces of egg tofu to try during my porridge time.. Trust me, it is really 'sedap'..

Finally it is cake-cutting session.. Mommy has bought the Mango Cake from PrimaDeli and we all sang birthday song to Gong Gong who was smiling all the way. Por Por secretly pinched her share of cake and fed me.. so happy...

Advance Celebration of Godma Jo's Birthday

Hurray, Godma Jo is coming over to our house for her pre-birthday celebration. Her actual birthday is tomorrow 08 Sept 2006.. I wont reveal her age to you.. (dont think me small boy blur blur, I know that the age of a woman is very secret one... haha...)

Mommy went to buy the famous butter crab, prawn paste chicken wings from Melben at Blk 232 AMK Ave 3 for Godma to try, and Kakak Ning has cooked stir fry kailan with sliced beef and sliced hairy gourd soup with shredded chicken/fish cakes/salted egg/egg/dried scallop.

See this lovely rose bouquet Mommy has ordered on my behalf for Godma from Far East Flora. I am so happy that Godma likes the flower as I heard from Mommy that her favourite flower is Roses...

And Godma has bought a sleeveless romper for me, with the word "Cool Hunk" printed on it.. So sweet of her...

I missed my 3 teeth

I am sure that my parents have shared with most of you that I was borne with two teeth at my lower jaw, even Dr Fong (mommy' s gynae) and Dr Tan (my PD) was shocked too.

Maybe I dont like having something blocking the movement of my tiny tongue, I kept using my tongue to push the 2 two tiny teeth, resulting in losing the 1st tooth at week 3 after birth. Kakak and Mommy realised that my 1st tooth became lose and they started to panic that I will swallow it during my sleep and get choked.. So they quickly brought me to a dental surgeon Q&M Dental at Toa Payoh on 05 Jan 2006 to extract it.

When we arrived at the Q&M Dental, the nurses were surprised to see such a young patient of just 3 weeks old, even Dr Stephen Khor (my parent's dental surgeon) was shocked too. With just a gentle pull, my 1st tooth is extracted and I just let out a short wail.

And after my 1st month celebration, my 3rd tooth came along but it was very tiny one, so didn't obstruct me too much. But I doesnt like the existence of my 2nd tooth, so I decided to use my tongue to push it harder... haha.. and this time it works again, I have managed to make my 2nd tooth becomes shaky and again my parents quickly rushed me to Q&M Dental on 27 Jan 2006 (the eve of CNY's eve)... This time I cried a bit louder and longer but soon I was back to my happy self...

As for my 3rd tooth, it has mysteriously gone MIA.. and my parents suspected that I might have swallow it when it became loose and turned into plant fertilizer since... haha...

Now thinking back, I really quite missed these 3 teeth who have been with me for about a month.. Everyone are now wondering when will I ever have my teeth again cos my other babies friends are mostly having at least 2 teeth whereas me still toothless...

Today is Kakak Ning's Birthday

Today is my Kakak Ning's 31st birthday. She is a really caring and loving Kakak to me.

I want to say a BIG thank you to you for coming here to take care of me, the baby that doesnt like to sleep at nights. Sorry for the past months that I have turned you into a panda bear like Mommy.

Hope you will enjoy staying in our family!

PS: I finally managed to catch a taste of birthday cake.. yummy!

Today is Daddy's Birthday

Another birthday to celebrate and it is my Daddy's 40th birthday.

Mommy has brought back some Thai dishes from Sheng Siong's foodcourt Foodmore located at Tekka Mall. What a waste, I cant eat those yummy dishes or Daddy's cake.

Our 1st Family Photo

10 June 2006 (Sat), my parents brought me to Peter Pan Studio to take the free 8R family photo.

Mommy said it was quite a smooth sailing session for Uncle photographer cos I was pretty co-operative during the photo-shoot. I have tried to smile naturally without much problem.

After seeing the end result of our 1st Ngau family photo, my parents have decided to bring me for a proper photo-shoot with Uncle Yew Kwang (He is the AD photographer for my parents) when I am 12 months old. Hopefully by then, I can do more poses and look more handsome.. haha...

My 2nd Haircut

Today 22 April 2006 (Sat), my parents brought me to Jean Yip @ IMM to trim my hair even though I just had my very 1st haircut 1 week ago at Junior League on 15 April 2006 (Sat)..

But this time, I cried terribly until Mommy got to ask Aunty Fenny to stop..

Surprisingly everyone say this new haircut makes me look more refresh and bigger in size, which I supposed my parents must be dancing in cloud nine..

Today is Mommy's Birthday

Today is Mommy's birthday and Daddy has brought her a birthday cake from Secret Recipe - Chocolate Banana...

I am so happy that I can blow the birthday cake with Mommy & Daddy while Kakak busy snapping family photos for us...

How nice if I can get to taste the cake, but Mommy says got egg so "no-no" for EnEn... nvm I am very sure that I will get to taste my own birthday cake when I turn 1 years old this Dec... haha..

1st Attempt on Cereals at 4 Months 3 Days Old

Mommy has bought the Heinz Infant Rice Cereals for me to try out today 16 April 2006 Sunday... Kakak Ning fed me the cereals while Mommy busy snapping photos of my eating looks.. Although it is tasteless, I wouldn't mind having alternate food other than my Enfalac Stage 1 FM... Thanks Mommy, I really appreciate your efforts and thoughts for me..

My 1st Haircut at 4 months 1 day

Daddy & Mommy brought me to Junior League at United Square to have my 1st hair-cut on 15 April 2006 (Saturday).

Kakak Ning carried me on her laps while Aunty gently trimmed away my baby hair that has been with me ever since I came to this world.

Daddy & Mommy praised me for being a good boy as I did not cry at all, unlike those big kor-kor and jie-jie who cried so loud like thunder..

Hmmm... after my 1st haircut, I found myself looking more boyish and cuter.. What do U think?
